Francesco Perini

Francesco Perini was born at San Giovanni Valdarno, just outside of Florence, in 1966, in a territory deeply rooted in the noble Tuscan tradition of craftsmanship. In the 1980s his first carpentry workshop began to attract the attention of the foremost experts in interior decoration, for its sophisticated inlaid furniture and refined marquetry. From this background arose I Vassalletti, an artisan firm that produces furnishing elements for prestigious residences while simultaneously operating as a research laboratory venturing far beyond the repetition of classical canons. This course has led to the personal creations of Francesco Perini’s, “creatures” which see animated beings that breath, evolve and are transformed, where the finest wood encounters stone, obsidian, marble, iron and glass. The “creatures” of Francesco Perini are figures of the imagination, pursuing desires, dreams and fantasies, like scenes from a theatre of the emotions.
